Cave D’Occi Winery and Cave D’Occi Vinespa

The Cave d’Occi Winery is situated just 1km inland from the Sea of Japan, facing directly the expanse of Mt. Kakuda.

Fields of grapes spread out around the winery and during the day sea breezes come in from the north and in the evening mountain breezes come in from the south, helping to reduce the humidity that can ruin wine grapes.

The winery tour that visits the vineyards and wine cellars is very popular (reservation required). After the tour there is also of course a wine tasting.

Within the grounds there is a guest house boutique and various fine eateries. You can sample the best of French cuisine at Travigne, or try homemade sausages at Makigoya, as well as delicious freshly baked bread at Cote a Cote Bakery and Café. Enjoy the exquisite combination of wonderful food and fine wines.

There is also the Cave d’Occi Spa accommodation facility where guests can relax while gazing out at Mt. Kakuda and gardens. In the evenings you can also enjoy the starry night skies over the vineyards. Why not come and treat yourself and snuggle down into a little bit of luxury?
