Naoetsu Beach

Located in Joetsu City, Naoetsu Beach is one of Niigata’s most popular coastal destinations, known for its clear waters, shallow sandy shores, and stunning sunset views over the Sea of Japan
Blessed with a wide beach, there is a large parking lot behind the beach cafes. Reputed for its clean water, this is a beach visited not just by Nagano neighbors but from as far afield as the Kanto region.
The municipal aquarium is five minutes' walk away. It is known as "the other sea" and is well worth the walk.
