Takigashira Marsh

Takigashira Marsh is one of Japan's rare manmade wetlands.

Here in the wilderness, you can observe up close a profusion of wetland flowers in every season and species of wild birds and dozens of dragonfly species. The stunning backdrop also makes this a photographer's paradise.

Early summer heralds the dance of the fireflies, while autumn is the time to appreciate the foliage as you strike out on the Kamoshika Trail, surrounded by broadleaf forest.
