Yaaironomori Park
八色の森公園
Yaaironomori Koen is a spacious scenic area in Minami Uonuma
Located in the expansive Yairo plains, this is a verdant public park that offers
a magnificent view of the Echigo Sanzan Mountains (Mt. Hakkai, Mt. Komagatake, Mt. Nakanodake).
The park's name was decided by the local community and Yairo no Mori Park
is an excellent place to observe changes in the scenery that each season brings.
The park features playgrounds, bubbling brooks, sprawling meadows, walking paths, a reflecting pond and more.
Adjacent to the park is the Agricore Echigo Winery, and a large museum, the Ikeda Art Museum, is also located within in
the park.
