This branch of Ponshukan is located inside Nagaoka Station. Here, you can enjoy (paid) sake tastings and purchase famous Niigata products like sake-pairing foods, rice crackers and other rice snacks, Ponshukan’s own original confectionery, and more. A single 500 yen coin will let you taste up to 5 cups of sake from breweries located all over Niigata Prefecture. Along with sake, you can check out fermented foods and condiments like soy sauce made in the local brewing town, along with other Nagaoka specialties.
