This region has few flatlands and is one of Japan's leading heavy snowfall areas, with rice cultivation in the Uonuma region at its core, and sericulture and weaving as its main industries. Daigenta showcases the unique culinary culture that has developed over generations in the Uonuma region through hands-on experiences.
At Daigenta, you can partake in various activities such as making soba, crafting sasadango, and preparing miso. Skilled instructors will guide you through these experiences, ensuring a fun and worry-free time. One particularly popular activity is soba noodle making! You'll have the opportunity to enjoy freshly ground, hand-rolled, and freshly boiled soba noodles that you make yourself right on the spot.
