Itoigawa Ankou (Anglerfish) Festival

糸魚川荒波あんこう祭り

This is an event to enjoy ankou (angler fish), a winter specialty.

Each day of the event there are different demonstrations, such as chopping hanged Angler fish and selling anglerfish soup, which are local specialties in each of the three areas hosting the event.
