Boasting a history of over 70 years, the Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Area stands as a time-honored ski resort that represents Niigata, with scenery sure to take your breath away.
An enduring favorite among Niigata ski enthusiasts, the Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Area has been cherished for more than 70 years since its opening in 1949. The slopes offer an array of courses that take full advantage of the expansive grounds, natural terrain, and abundant snowfall. In addition, the resort is known for its unique scenery that overlooks the surrounding Minamiuonuma Plain and the Echigo Sanzan (Three Mountains of Echigo).
Recently, the resort’s Snow Garden has made its debut, allowing even non-skiers to experience the snowy mountain lifestyle. Visitors can partake in snow glamping in photogenic dome tents surrounded by the spectacular wintry landscape. Additionally, there's a slope with rental sleds to enjoy the thrill of snow sports at your own pace.
The resort features over 20 dining establishments, including stylish cafes and authentic yakiniku (BBQ) restaurants, promising a fully-fledged gourmet experience.

Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, night skiing from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
*Dome tents are available from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
