Kamakura are dome-shaped snow huts resembling a miniature mountain with a hollow inside, and are a winter spectacle that hold deep cultural significance. Originally created for traditional rituals honoring the water deity during Little New Year (January 15-20), kamakura offer rare and immersive insight into this snow-filled region.

Visitors can partake in an authentic snow country adventure, where they have the opportunity to roast mochi in the cozy confines of a kamakura and engage in snow activities using traditional tools like “sugeboshi” straw hats and bamboo skis. As night descends, candles flicker to life, illuminating both the inside and surroundings of the kamakura, and conjuring a magical ambiance. You can also enjoy a sake tasting experience inside the kamakura during the evening session.
