Nonohanakan is a charming local market and cafe in Gosen City
The exquisite watercolor paintings of seasonal wildflowers by artist Yasuo Toyama can be seen on display at his gallery in Maiko, Minamiuonuma. Inside this traditional Japanese-style house remodeled to fit an art gallery, watercolor paintings are displayed together with actual specimens of the depicted flowers. The gallery exhibits change each season, and visitors are welcome to enjoy a complimentary cup or coffee or tea as they take a moment to ponder over these paintings of flowers.
