Sakura Plaza has opened in front of the Shinkansen gates at Joetsu Myoko Station.

In addition to a tourist information desk for Echigo (including Joetsu, Myoko, Sado, Kashiwazaki and Tokamachi), the plaza promotes the Joetsu region with a booth for selling locally-sourced food and beverages, products and a bento lunch boxes. Free wi-fi is available.
