Ikeda Memorial Museum

An art museum in the center of Yairo no Mori Park.

The museum is divided into four main sections, the Sports History exhibit, Koizumi Yakumo (Lafcadio Hearn) exhibit, Japanese Art exhibit, and Western Art exhibit. Works from the Niigata-born calligrapher and poet Aizu Yaichi are also on display in this museum.

In the museum's main lobby there are large glass windows looking out over a reflecting pool and the majestic Echigo Sanzan Mountains (Mt. Hakkai, Mt. Komagatake, Mt. Nakanodake).
